What we collect

Nothing. The FNAF Jumpscare extension doesn’t collect, store on a server, sell or share any personal data, browsing history or page content.

What stays in your browser

Your settings — whether scares are on, how often they come, volume, chosen characters, skipped sites and the number of times you’ve been scared — are saved with Chrome’s local storage on your device. Removing the extension deletes them.

Why it asks for access to websites

To show a jumpscare, the extension adds a full-screen video to the page you are looking at, at the moment of the scare. It doesn’t read, change or send anything else on the page. It reads the address of the current tab only to skip pages where it can’t or shouldn’t run.

This website

fnafjumpscare.com uses no cookies and no third-party analytics or ads. To see which pages get opened, which buttons get clicked and whether the demo plays, it sends anonymous usage events (page, clicks, browser, IP address and a random ID kept in your browser’s local storage) to our own logs on Alibaba Cloud. They’re kept for 90 days and never sold or shared. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which keeps standard server logs.
